About the Internship

The Musuneggi Financial Group (MFG) is offering a dynamic internship opportunity for undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in client service, administrative operations, and professional communication within the financial services industry. This internship provides a unique opportunity to engage with three core areas of the firm:

  • MFG Financial Group – wealth management and financial planning
  • MFG Tax Services – tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses
  • MFG Insurance Services – life, disability, and long-term care insurance solutions

Interns will work directly with professionals across these divisions, gaining a broad understanding of how financial services work together to support clients’ personal and business goals.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the internship, the intern will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and function of an integrated financial services firm.
  • Gain practical experience in client service processes across financial, tax, and insurance domains.
  • Develop professional communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Learn the basics of financial documentation, regulatory requirements, and client onboarding.
  • Explore career paths in financial advising, tax consulting, insurance services, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision, the intern will:

  • Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for clients, prospects, and guests.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating client meetings across the firm’s three business units.
  • Support the preparation and processing of paperwork for financial, tax, and insurance services.
  • Help maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in planning and execution of client appreciation events and internal team meetings.
  • Contribute to day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, organizing supplies, and basic technical troubleshooting.
  • Shadow professionals in each business unit to observe real-world applications of financial planning, insurance consulting, and tax services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student (preferably junior or senior) pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Eagerness to learn, with a proactive and professional mindset.

Mentorship & Supervision

Interns will be directly supervised by members of the client service and operations teams. Regular check-ins and mentorship sessions will ensure a supportive learning environment and alignment with professional goals.

Compensation: This is a paid internship. Students may also be eligible to receive academic credit through their college or university, subject to institutional approval.
